We and Tuscany
Castiglion Fiorentino, originally an Etruscan settlement and later an old medieval village, is perched on top of one of the last offshoots of the Appennines that gradually joins up with the Valdichiana. The village stretches out in a succession of concentric rings encircling the gentle slopes of the hill. Dominated by the tower of the ancient castle this charming town unveils to the visitor its beautiful medieval walls, palaces and churches.
